Phoenix Consortia incorporating SPV Special Projects and Howard Evans Roofing and Cladding Ltd is delighted to announce that we have renewed our ISO Accreditation for the next 12 months and successfully passed our 3 year review audit.
Our ISO certification, audited and approved by Forefront Certification ensures our continued registration to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018/SSIP.

SCHOOL VISIT FOR APPRENTICESHIP WEEK
We were delighted to visit our local school during National Apprenticeship Week to deliver a roofing and cladding workshop for Year 11 students.
Delivered in partnership with Juniper Training, the session highlighted the various roofing pathways available to school leavers and apprentices. We were also joined by our current apprentice, Harry, who shared his experience with the group.
The workshop was a huge success, with a third of the students signing up for an upcoming roofing taster day with Juniper Training!

supporting local foodbanks at christmas
We were thrilled to join Walsall FC recently to visit two local foodbanks and personally deliver essential supplies. The visit was the result of our successful fundraising initiative and highlighted our ongoing commitment to supporting the community.
Through our Christmas Jumper Day fundraising efforts, we raised £800, with contributions from every member of our team. The funds were used to purchase a wide variety of essential items, including canned goods, nappies, toiletries, and other necessities, which were donated to the local foodbanks.
Kate Whatley, our Commercial Director, shared her thoughts: “We were delighted to join Walsall FC in visiting the foodbanks and personally meet the teams who are doing such incredible work in the community. It was a fantastic opportunity to hand over supplies and see first hand how much they are appreciated.”
During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting volunteers at the foodbanks, who work tirelessly to prepare and distribute food parcels to families and individuals in need. Kate added, “It was humbling to see the gratitude and how necessary the donations are to support local communities. We are proud to contribute and help those in need.”

Prioritising Mental Health Across Our Team
We’re proud to share that 12 of our senior leaders, managers, and supervisors have completed their Mental Health First Aider training with Mental Health England. This equips them to provide essential support to both colleagues and those outside our organisation.
Our commitment doesn’t stop there – all team members will soon be attending mental health awareness training, ensuring we continue to foster an environment of understanding, care, and open conversations.

Pioneering Training for the Sheeting and Cladding Industry
Howard Evans Roofing is proud to have participated in a recent pilot programme for a one-day overview course on sheeting and cladding.
The course has been designed to support those new to the industry or working in office-based roles who would benefit from gaining a deeper understanding and practical experience in sheeting and cladding. Following the success of the pilot, this course is now being rolled out industry-wide, equipping participants with essential knowledge and hands-on insights to enhance their contributions within the sector.
Howard Evans is committed to fostering growth and expertise within the industry and looks forward to seeing the positive impact of this training initiative.
Phoenix consortia continue partnership with Walsall
Phoenix consortia are delighted to partner again with Walsall FC for the 2024/2025 season.
We first engaged with Walsall FC back in 2005 and our official partnership commenced in 2007- some 12 years ago and during this time we have built a wonderful commercial partnership.
MD Howard Evans and Commercial Director Kate Whatley were honoured to be asked to be part of their Hometown Heroes campaign launching their 2023/2024 kit.
Howard Evans Roofing and cladding Ltd are also proud to also be sleeve sponsors for the 2024/2025 with the logo prominently displayed on all home and away kits for the season.
The partnership goes above and beyond football and we engage with heir events teams for all our events as well as their community team for work we undertake in the community.
The Phoenix Values align extremely well with the values of Walsall FC, in particular their youth work and their community programme. We engage regularly with regards to our In-house Training centre and Building futures construction pathway students as well as the various youth football teams we sponsor who visit as flag bearers and mascots on a regular basis.
