Phoenix Consortia in partnership with Juniper Training Ltd were proud to be out in the community this National Apprenticeship Week 🙌
We visited a local school to deliver:
• An assembly to Year 7, introducing apprenticeships and shining a light on careers in roofing
• A 2-hour interactive workshop with Year 10 along with the amazing Louise Downey of Juniper Training Ltd raising awareness of the different pathways into our industry and the opportunities available beyond the traditional classroom route.
We also organised some practical fun tasks to get the students involved and the new VR headsets from Immersive Industry Experiences were brilliant to engage the group!
We also took along 3 brilliant apprentices. Jessie Miller who is undertaking his level 2 qualification and Jack and Jayden Wells who are currently on the Level 1 course. All the lads spoke confidently and professionally and engaged very well with the students. They were a credit to themselves, their families and employers and Juniper who do an incredible job of developing and supporting their students

To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2026 at Phoenix Consortia we are reflecting on our apprentices, their journeys during their time with us and the amazing addition they make to our business!
We are delighted to report that our waterproofing apprentice Harry achieved his Level 2 qualification earlier this week not only with a pass but with a distinction!
Harry has been a great advocate for the industry already visiting schools to promote roofing and taking part in the BMI Apprentice of the year competition 2025 where he developed his leadership skills. We are immensely proud of his journey so far and look forward to developing his skills and knowledge in the coming years!
Tim also started his journey with Juniper Training Ltd which then led to him securing an apprenticeship with SPV in slating and tiling. During his apprenticeship, he developed a wide range of practical skills and gained valuable qualifications and all these experiences have significantly supported his professional growth and helped him progress speedily in his role.
He is now a confident and capable roofer and recently achieved his Level 3 Diploma in occupational work supervision and also the Phoenix Consortia February employee of the month!
He is a great example of how hard work and learning pays off and he should be incredibly proud of his amazing accomplishments and overall attitude

Kate Whatley is thrilled to have recently been accepted as a Fellow of the Metal Cladding & Roofing Institute (MCRi).
is a highly respected leader in the roofing industry with over 20 years’ experience in senior management, commercial delivery, and operational leadership. Beyond project success, she has made a lasting impact through championing skills, inclusion, and professional standards.
A passionate advocate for education and opportunity, she has founded and supported industry initiatives, training programmes, and outreach with schools, helping to open pathways, develop talent, and create a more inclusive, professional future for roofing and construction.
The goal of the Metal Cladding & Roofing Institute (MCRI) is to create a more skilled, better supported workforce and values are perfectly aligned with those of Phoenix Consortia
As a Fellow she commits to undertaking additional Continual Professional Development (CPD) throughout the year.
She looks forward to continuing to support the industry with training and promotion of the sector and supporting others on their career journeys and work closely with the Institute which strives to ensure that individuals are recognised for their contribution to the sector and supported on their career path

We raised a fantastic £400 for Acorns and Kate Andrew and Harry personally delivered the cheque to the Hospice. We were thankful for the team to show us round the facilities and inform us about all of the amazing work they do and meet some of the children they support.
Acorns were incredibly grateful as they are highly reliant on community funding to keep the hospice running and hundreds of local babies, children and young people rely on Acorns Children’s Hospice for specialist 24-hour care and support. Our support is vital in helping them to continue the work that they do.
We celebrated our return to work in 2026 with a team building day and Awards ceremony for those who stood out in 2025!

Such an approach eliminates uncertainty for clients, reduces risk, and provides confidence that installations meet the highest technical and regulatory standards from design through to completion
As a not-for-profit organisation, LHCPG embeds social value into every framework and invests framework surpluses into its Community Benefit Fund.
We were successful with our bid to become an approved contractor and have been appointed in a number of regions and a number of workstreams
We were delighted to have passed their rigorous vetting procedures affirming our status of the high quality professional roofing contactors of choice
The framework runs until October 2029 and direct award routes are available for time-sensitive or grant-funded work .We look forward to building relationships over the period and building a long standing partnership.
