As the training wing of Phoenix Consortia, we are passionate about training the next generation and leading our current team to new heights.
Since 2019, our in-house training centre in partnership with Juniper Training has helped address this skills shortage within our industry and placed 37th within the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers of 2022 by the Department of Education, as well as winning multiple awards for our successful collaboration.
Through our collaboration for Juniper Training, we have supported over 250 young people in the industry and the training centre at head office continues to support students with construction pathway course as well as trailblazer courses in sheeting and cladding, waterproofing and slating and tiling.
We regularly visit local Schools and colleges promoting the various careers and pathways in the roofing sector .
Apprentices bring enthusiasm, energy and fresh ideas to our business to help contribute and are a key part of our development and success. Over 10% of our workforce are currently completing apprenticeships.
Our in house training centre also supports the industry and we currently support various manufacturers to deliver their upskilling courses as well as supporting Federations including MCRMA and NFRC with their training requirements.
We also offer various practical and theorertial cladding courses to contractors, manufacturers and other stakeholders

I have been doing my roofing apprenticeship in waterproofing for 12 months and during this time I have gained invaluable skills and knowledge which will help me throughout my career. I have been given lots of opportunities to try different aspects of roofing which has been important to give me a wide variety of knowledge and skills. I have also visited schools speaking with students about by journey in roofing and named as Finalist in the BMI Apprenticeship Awards and the Juniper Training Apprenticeship Awards Before starting the apprenticeship, I was a chef but when I decided I didn’t want to persue this further I enrolled on the Juniper Construction Pathway Course. I recommend this to anyone who wants to start their career in the Roofing industry.
