Phoenix Consortia have recently completed the over-cladding works at
Kingsditch Trading Estate.
The project was undertaken for the building owners through our client Jones Lang Lasalle and was executed through a JCT minor works contract.
Our remit was the supply and installation of new cladding sheets to the warehouse roof and a new felt roof for the offices.
We obtained access via working platform scaffolding to all elevations.
The building remained in operation throughout, rented by various tenants including a dance studio, karate club and car parts
company.
We accommodated all tenants throughout, ensuring minimal disruption and informing them of the upcoming and ongoing works.
We also ensured regular air monitoring given that the existing roof featured asbestos sheets.
Two team members undertook part of their assessment for their NVQ level 2 and Level 3 cladding occupations and rain screen cladding whilst on site enabling them to obtain their Level 2 and 3 qualifications and we also had an apprentice on site who gained invaluable experience in
undertaking a large-scale over-cladding project.
